- IMHO, it is simply too much trouble to worry about it. I always leave
- it on, because there is simply not enough of a difference to justify
- turning it off and on all the time.

- Unless you're transferring a 20 meg file, by the time you disconnect,
- turn v.42bis off, reconnect, and start transferring, it will probably
- take more time than if you were to just leave it alone and not worry
- about the 3 cps you're going to lose.
